Palyouth A new award honoring the legacy of Palestinian journalist Shireen Abu Akleh has been established by Carleton University’s School of Journalism and Communication.

Sherine Abu Akleh was fatally shot while reporting for Al Jazeera at the entrance to Jenin Refugee Camp, in the West Bank on May 11, 2022.
