"Prisoners' Authority": Prisoner Daoud lost most of his teeth due to torture by Israeli interrogators

The Commission for the Affairs of Prisoners and Ex-Detainees revealed details of the health condition of prisoner Nour al-Din Saeed Daoud (43 years old) from the city of Qalqilya in the West Bank, after the Commission’s lawyer, Fadi Obaidat, visited him in the Negev prison. It revealed in its report issued today, Wednesday: “The prisoner has been suffering since 2003 from the problem of losing most of his teeth, due to the severe beating he was subjected to by the occupation soldiers at the moment of his arrest, and as a result of deliberate medical negligence by the prison administration. He began to lose the remaining teeth and Tawahin, where he was not provided with any treatment except painkillers, and accordingly, Nour El-Din filed more than one complaint, but to no avail.”
The authority explained: “The prisoner also suffered from an injury to his left leg before his arrest, and the tendon was shortened by about 3 cm, with limited movement and severe pain, as a result of not removing the bullets from his leg. He was not provided with any significant treatment except for an imaging procedure, and he was informed that he could not be operated on.” To remove lead, the cost is high. She indicated that the prisoner has been detained since April 23, 2003, and has been sentenced to 22 years in prison.
