The Palestinian Prisoners' Club: 1319 Administrative Detainees in Israeli Prisons.

Palyouth The Palestinian Prisoners Club has confirmed that Israeli occupation authorities continue to expand the scope of administrative detention, with the number of Palestinian administrative detainees reaching 1,319 by the end of last month, including 20 children and 4 female prisoners.

In a press statement released today, Sunday, the Prisoners Club stated that these numbers have not been recorded in more than 20 years. As of the end of last month, the number of administrative detention orders reached 2,646, including 269 issued during the past month. These orders mainly targeted former prisoners who had spent years in Israeli occupation prisons, some of them under administrative detention. Furthermore, since the past year, the Israeli occupation has begun targeting a new generation that has not previously been subjected to arrest.

The crime of administrative detention has become one of the most pressing issues today, significantly impacting the reality of Palestinian prisoners due to the increasing numbers, as well as the significant effect on hundreds of Palestinian families as a result of repeated arrests of their loved ones.

The Prisoners Club pointed out that the Israeli occupation primarily focuses on targeting Palestinian patients, the elderly, and the wounded through this crime, Israeli military courts, at their various levels, continue to play a crucial role in consolidating the crime of administrative detention through their decisions that translate the intelligence (Shabak) decisions during the procedural court sessions.

The Palestinian Prisoners Club called for the formulation of a path leading to a comprehensive boycott of the military courts, while dozens of administrative detainees continue to boycott the Israeli occupation courts.

It is worth noting that the total number of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli occupation prisons has exceeded 5,200, including 36 female prisoners and around 170 children.
