Palyouth On Thursday evening, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) strongly condemned the continued storming by Israeli settlers into the revered Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, backed by Israeli occupation forces.
In a statement, the UAE's Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the country's steadfast position on the necessity of providing full protection for the Al-Aqsa Mosque and putting an end to serious and provocative violations therein.
The ministry underscored the importance of respecting the role of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in safeguarding holy sites and endowments in accordance with international law and the historical status quo, as well as refraining from encroaching on the authority of the management of Jerusalem's endowments and affairs of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The UAE called on Israel to halt the escalation and refrain from taking steps that would exacerbate tension and instability in the region.
It emphasized the UAE's rejection of all practices that violate international legitimacy and threaten further escalation.
