Palyouth Nothing is desired by the Palestinian families displaced due to the intense and destructive Israeli bombardment of neighborhoods and camps but safety for themselves and their children. Hundreds of thousands of families have sought refuge in UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency) schools due to the Israeli war on Gaza, but this seems unattainable in the face of the barbaric and destructive air strikes and artillery shelling by Israeli aircraft. There is no safe place left in the Gaza Strip; these conditions can be described as nothing less than "catastrophic" due to the lack of the necessities of life.

Inside the overcrowded schools filled with displaced families, fear and anxiety hold them, hostage, as they worry about their unknown fate, accompanied by the sounds of bombings and destruction filling the air around them.

Hundreds of thousands of Palestinian families residing in border areas or those whose homes were demolished by Israeli warplanes have sought refuge in UNRWA schools, which have become shelters due to the ongoing Israeli war in Gaza, now lasting for six days.

Speaking to PalYouth Radio, the displaced individuals say, "Life has become extremely difficult and catastrophic in Gaza, where Gazans lack the most necessities of life, with no water, no electricity, and no fuel. Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant ordered a complete blockade on Gaza, stating that this new blockade would be total - 'no electricity, no water, no fuel.'"

Infrastructure Minister Yisrael Katz confirmed on Thursday, "No electricity lines will be operated, no water taps will be opened, and no fuel trucks will enter Gaza."

Gazans hope that Arab nations, international institutions, and the international community will intervene to put an end to the war on Gaza and the Israeli aggression that targets civilians and innocent children, given the catastrophic situation they are experiencing in those schools.

The ongoing Israeli war on the Gaza Strip has resulted in 1,350 martyrs and more than 5,763 injuries so far.
